Make Your Endorsement

An endorsement is purely a show of support for this distinctive memorial concept to honor the heroes who have died in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars and is not presented as sponsorship of the designers, the board, selected contractors, location, or fund-raising methodologies. Neither does an endorsement imply or support any political affiliation nor does it imply an endorsement by an entire company, group, service branch, college, or other organization unless so stated. In addition, any endorsement is not meant to give the appearance of sponsorship, sanction, endorsement, or approval by DoD.

Pulsing StarActive/retired military or other DoD employees who are considering making an endorsement but are concerned about the “Joint Ethics Regulation (JER)” (DoD 5500.7-R), please read this page.

buzz-aldrin-photoI graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1951. I was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and served as a jet fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, where I flew 66 combat missions in F-86 Sabres. After leaving Korea, I was an aerial gunnery instructor at Nellis Air Force Base in southern Nevada, and later an aide to the dean of faculty at the U.S. Air Force Academy.

The brave men and women who are fighting to defend America’s freedom should command the highest respect and admiration. The fallen should be honored and remembered today.

I support the efforts of Freedom Memorials to erect the National Afghanistan & Iraq Freedom Reigns Memorial destined for Thunderbird Park at the 45th Infantry Division Museum in Oklahoma City. Let us all show the families and the world we care and will always remember the ultimate sacrifices made by those who volunteered to serve our great nation.

honor-and-remember-photoHonorandRemember.org endorses this memorial to our fallen heroes of the war on terrorism. Our experience with Gold Star Families reinforces our belief that their loved ones must not be forgotten. The goals of Honor and Remember and the Freedom Memorials coincide in an effort to make the public constantly aware of the sacrifices made for us by the men and women of the military.

I am happy to support this memorial to our soldiers involved in The War on Terrorism. We often forget the sacrifice needed to maintain our freedom. We need to remember to pray for those in harms way and for the family members of those who give the ultimate sacrifice. We also need to be willing to offer assistance to those that come home scarred, mentally and physically. I want to thank those that have taken the time and effort to make this happen.

brandon-dewey-photoI wholeheartedly endorse this project. There are those who gave everything who need to be honored. As the father of a US Marine killed in action in Iraq I cannot begin to tell you the feelings I have when I see the artist illustration of the memorial. We continue to pray for those who are serving and ask that Americans support our troops wherever they are.

The War on Terrorism Memorial is something that needs to be done right away. Waiting any time no less to be done after this conflict is over, honestly, is wrong! These are our soldiers that risked everything he or she loved for his or her Country, protecting America against terrorism since 911. Protecting each of the 300,000,000 Americans liberties, freedom and the way of live each enjoy. So I urge everyone to support The War on Terrorism Memorial TODAY! You don’t owe the families of the fallen soldier. However, you owe this honor to the soldiers that have given the ultimate sacrifice to you and AMERICA.

I fully support this project with my whole heart. I’m a veteran of OIF, and I lost two of my best friends on 19July04 and know many others who gave their lives for our freedom. I also lost a very close friend 13June06 in Afghanistan. This project is just the smallest thing we can do for them. As Americans, we owe it to them and their families.

adam-harris-photoOur family fully endorses this memorial for our fallen hero, our son, Adam, and in honor of all the men and women who have paid the ultimate price. What a beautiful honor we can pay them through this memorial, isn’t it the least we can do, for all they’ve done for their country and the American people. We must never forget this is the Home of the FREE because of the BRAVE! God Bless all in the continued efforts for the tireless work to make this happen.

God Bless all our military folks. We love you and the memorial will be one way to publicly show our love for our soldiers.

picture-frame-guys-photoThe Picture Frame Guys supports and endorses this memorial remembering our fallen sons and daughters who fought bravely so that we may enjoy these, our American freedoms. We must not forget that our liberty from shining sea to shining sea is ultimately protected by the men and women in uniform who’s job it is every day to protect our country no matter what the price. Some of these soldiers pay the ultimate price by giving their lives for us. This we must never forget. This memorial is a fitting commemoration to accomplish this.
